If you decide to invite me to speak at your group, club or church, I am happy to suggest a topic or to fit in with what you might suggest. I am comfortable speaking on a general writing-related topic or on a specific area of the Christian faith. I almost always include illustrations from my novels and my own life journey that will hopefully connect well with those listening.

Here are just a few examples of topics/general areas I often speak about, many of which have found their way into my novels:

• ‘Write from the Heart' (My own journey towards publication)
• Reaching our God-given potential (holding onto our God-given dreams)
• ‘A Novel Idea' - serving God through writing novels
• Living in God's love and grace
• Moving with God through change
• Honouring God from the heart
• Fully ‘me' for God (overcoming self-doubt, using my gifts)
• The freedom of forgiveness (‘Redeeming' our yesterdays)
• Experiencing God's acceptance (overcoming rejection)
• Dealing with the darkness of grief and loss (standing firm in God)
• Reaching out, enriching others

I love encouraging others on their writing journey, so am happy to present writing workshops in both church and secular settings.  These can vary in length, according to what is required, from one or two hours to an entire day.

To give some idea of topics that might be covered, a three-hour workshop would include input on ‘Getting Started In Writing’, ‘Developing Your Writing Style’ and ‘Getting Published’, as well as time for some brief creative writing exercises and editing practice.  Cost negotiable.
